The Reality Show that nobody asked for… let’s talk about the Hype House.

Just a short piece on them.. because I couldn’t be bothered to write a long piece about them

The Hype House, for those who are unfamiliar, it is a Tik Tok creator house where creators live and make content in a mansion that is located in Beverly Hills, California. The Hype House was founded by Thomas Petrou, a 23-year-old content creator who was formerly a member of Team 10, the content house that was founded by Jake Paul.

Thomas Petrou, originally from Team 10 founded the Hype House . ( right) the empire he has created and how they are changing the tik tok game forever

Since the inception of the Hype House, several other creators have joined like Chase Hudson ( Lil Huddy), Vinnie Hacker, Nikita Dragun, Alex Warren, Kouvr Annon, Daisy Keech as well as several others like Charli D’Amelio, Bryce Hall and Addison Rae who have since quit the Hype House due to creative differences. Just last year, it was announced that there was going to be a reality show about the Hype House and just like everyone else... I found it to be absolutely unnecessary.

However, the producers at Netflix did not heed our cries of distress and proceeded to release it anyway. You have me to thank for not putting up with the show because I have gone through the ordeal of watching it for you. The show has done nothing but fulfill my expectations… it was honestly absolutely awful.

All the episodes have done nothing but show us what we already think of these TikTokers, a bunch of problematic people who take no accountability for any of their problematic actions. Nikita Dragun is the perfect example of this as she took no responsibility for her lack of compliance to the COVID-19 policies that were put in place and as a result of her recklessness, she caught COVID. Not only that, but it is also important to mention that Nikita Dragun is a notorious black fisher as she has done black fishing, yellow fishing … the whole works to promote her makeup brand.

I could go on and on about the other problematic Tiktokers in the Hype House like Lil Huddy who has become the token user of the N-word and Thomas who frequently gaslights his fellow tiktokers who call out the ludicrous nature of the HypeHouse. This show is just so bizarre and caters to the nature of Gen Z’ers fascination with TikTok until it even the show’s initial description was fitting of the nature of the show.

( this is solely a short opinion piece, please watch the show for yourselves to develop your own opinions about the show)
